Our Record Overview

A Winning Record

In 2006, we helped elect four U.S. Senators, including Bob Casey’s victory over Rick Santorum in Pennsylvania. We also produced the DSCC Independent Expenditure advertising in Montana, Rhode Island, and Maryland. In all, we produced winning media in four of the seven most tightly contested U.S. Senate races, along with helping elect three Governors and four new members of the U.S. House.

We are particularly proud of our record in “red states.” In 2002, despite a Republican tide sweeping across the country, we helped elect Governor Phil Bredesen in Tennessee and Governor Brad Henry in Oklahoma. The New York Times called Brad Henry’s surprise upset over Hall of Fame football player-turned-Congressman Steve Largent “one of the biggest Democratic upsets.” Other red state victories include helping elect Congresswoman Stephanie Herseth in South Dakota, Congressmen John Barrow and Jim Marshall in Georgia, Congressman Bob Etheridge in North Carolina, and a number of state constitutional offices in states like Arkansas, Georgia, Missouri, North Carolina, and Oklahoma.

Our overall record in state constitutional office races includes producing winning campaign media for six Lt. Governors, four Attorneys General, three State Treasurers, one Secretary of the State and one State Auditor. We’ve helped elect six Mayors, over a dozen state senators and state representatives, and helped win initiative and referenda campaigns across the country.
